2008 Group publication summary
In 2008, we have published 16 good papers that included one Langmuir by Shane Gao, another Langumuir by Jerry Chen, one Coll Polym Sci by Jen Mahon, and one Appl. Surf. Sci. by Rachael Gong. A bigger portion of the 16 was the results of our fruitful collaborations with Prof Qiang Yu of JPU, Prof Zhibin Ye of Laurentian, and Prof Bo-Geng Li's group in Zhejiang University.
Group record in SCI 2008: a total of >180 original papers with >3,000 citations and a Hirsh Index of 31!
We received ~550 citations in 2008 alone, with Dr. Wei Feng and Dr. Hualong Pan's work being the most popular!

2008 updates from some emeritus members
Dr. Wenjun Wang joined Zhejiang University Hangzhou and became a professor there! He is having five students and one postdoc in his group now. We have established a close collaboration in the area of water soluble polymers.
Dr. Youqing Shen left Univ Wyoming and joined Zhejiang University at the invitation of the University President! He became a chair professor and received a prestigious Outstanding Young Scientist title.
Dr. Zhibin Ye is doing well at Laurentian and received a Ontario Premier Research Excellence Award! He also helped his wife to produce a beautiful baby girl!
Dr. Hormoz Eslami joined Amirkabir University of Technology at Tehran as an Associate Professor!
Mr. Dajing Yan joined a university lab in Texas!
Dr. Hualong Pan joined IMRE Singapore as research staff!
Mr Weifeng Zhang became a manager at Medarex and spent his vacation in Beijing watching Olympic. Enjoying an easy life!
Dr. Hong Fan is recently promoted to full professor rank in Zhejiang University!
Mr. Gregory Matzke moved from Xerox to Mohauk College as a faculty member!
